The Mohawk Valley Frasers Celtics Arts Scholarship/Grant will provide financial assistance to individuals interested in pursuing the Celtic Arts. It may be used for studies in voice, dance, or other Celtic performing arts, as well as tuition in traditional Celtic instruments such as fiddle, harp, tin whistle, bagpipe, drum, etc. The fund may provide assistance in purchase of costumes, uniforms, instruments, and equipment associated with Celtic performing arts. It also may be used by instructors to defray the costs of professional certification exams and workshops. Grants will normally be awarded within the range of $100 to $400 based on amount requested and number of applicants. Awards will be paid either directly to the vendor or to the applicant upon proof of expenditure. Preference will be given to applicants from the Central New York area.
